Code Hammer

A collection of software design articles relating philosophically to ontology. There are many new formalizations, including:

  • A formalization of the 3 equality types: the logical, the ontical, and the ontological, which lead to:
  • A formalization of object orientation on ontology, and how it relates to platform design. This formally extends computer science beyond logic, introducing a counterpart to lambda calculus and Big-O notation.
  • A formalization of Helmholtz sensory layers to the equality types, and therefore to software design.
  • A formalization of reification devices as automated empirical systems, and how they can be used to validate practices demonstrated by Stephen Wolfram in A New Kind of Science.
  • A formal definition of ontological properties, and a theory of the physicality of media, a relative expression of physical/metaphysical boundary.
  • A formalization of how artistic compositional methods relate to software composition.
  • A theory of aesthetic complexity in systems, differentiating interface complexity from structural complexity.
  • The introduction of a demonstration of platform design with ontological considerations: M:N Virtual Kernel Daemon, an expression of resource-ideal software design using ontological optimization as a foundation for logical optimization. These methods lead to numerous novel inventions in server software design.
Clavitone

Papers on musical tuning, including major mathematical discoveries:

  • A new mathematical discovery of Pythagorean Equal Temperament, and equations for relating Pythagorean Tuning with Equal Temperament. This is actually a better improvement than Equal Temperament was, the biggest discovery in tuning since Pythagorus, an ideal form of stretch tuning satisfying contrapuntal assumptions, finally enabling for composers consonant intervals with free key modulation.
  • A new mathematical discovery of Comma Space and methods to quickly search for the smallest commas of any set of parameters.
  • A fast method for computing extremely large logarithm tables to arbitrary precision, using only integer math.
  • A novel piano tuning method with using theoretical boundaries between Pythagorean Equal Temperament and Equal Temperament, based on a self-replicating pattern of consonant intervals that equally distributes consonance instead of tempering dissonance.
